Why do I need iron, magnesium, zinc, folate and choline?
Zinc gets the spotlight for its immunity boosting properties, and it also plays important roles in growth and development.
Iron is a mama’s secret weapon. During pregnancy, iron is needed to support growth and development of the fetus and placenta and to meet the increased need of red blood cells for oxygen transport. Maternal blood volume increases 50% during pregnancy so the need for iron increases.
